Quran Verses27-Surah An-Naml (The Ants ) 57
So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind.
فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ قَدَّرْنَاهَا مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ
Quran's Tafhim ( explanation)
*70) That is, "The Prophet Lot had already been instructed not to take the woman along because she had to be destroyed along with her people."
