Verses about Gossip

Verses from the Book of Allah on Gossip Arranged in the order of the descent of the fence and accompanied by a simple interpretation, as well as with the possibility of listening to it

    68-Surah Al-Qalam ( The Pen ) 10-16
            
    And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer
    وَلَا تُطِعْ كُلَّ حَلَّافٍ مَّهِينٍ
            
    [And] scorner, going about with malicious gossip -
    هَمَّازٍ مَّشَّاءٍ بِنَمِيمٍ
            
    A preventer of good, transgressing and sinful,
    مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ
            
    Cruel, moreover, and an illegitimate pretender.
    عُتُلٍّ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ زَنِيمٍ
            
    Because he is a possessor of wealth and children,
    أَن كَانَ ذَا مَالٍ وَبَنِينَ
            
    When Our verses are recited to him, he says, ‘ Legends of the former peoples.’
    إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
            
    We will brand him upon the snout.
    سَنَسِمُهُ عَلَى الْخُرْطُومِ
    9-Surah At-Taubah ( The Repentance ) 47
            
    Had they gone forth with you, they would not have increased you except in confusion, and they would have been active among you, seeking [to cause] you fitnah. And among you are avid listeners to them. And Allah is Knowing of the wrongdoers.
    لَوْ خَرَجُوا فِيكُم مَّا زَادُوكُمْ إِلَّا خَبَالًا وَلَأَوْضَعُوا خِلَالَكُمْ يَبْغُونَكُمُ الْفِتْنَةَ وَفِيكُمْ سَمَّاعُونَ لَهُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِالظَّالِمِينَ
