Verses about slander

Verses from the Book of Allah on slander Arranged in the order of the descent of the fence and accompanied by a simple interpretation, as well as with the possibility of listening to it

    68-Surah Al-Qalam ( The Pen ) 10-16

And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer

[And] scorner, going about with malicious gossip -

A preventer of good, transgressing and sinful,

Cruel, moreover, and an illegitimate pretender.

Because he is a possessor of wealth and children,

When Our verses are recited to him, he says, ‘ Legends of the former peoples.’

We will brand him upon the snout.
    104-Surah Al-Humazah ( The Slanderer ) 1

Woe to every scorner and mocker

    Verses about Slander

      68-Surah Al-Qalam ( The Pen ) 10-11

And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer

[And] scorner, going about with malicious gossip -
      33-Surah Al-Ahzab ( The Combined Forces ) 58

And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned have certainly born upon themselves a slander and manifest sin.
      60-Surah Al-Mumtahanah ( The Woman to be examined ) 12

O Prophet, when the believing women come to you pledging to you that they will not associate anything with Allah, nor will they steal, nor will they commit unlawful sexual intercourse, nor will they kill their children, nor will they bring forth a slander they have invented between their arms and legs, nor will they disobey you in what is right - then accept their pledge and ask forgiveness for them of Allah. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
      4-Surah An-Nisa ( The Women ) 20

But if you want to replace one wife with another and you have given one of them a great amount [in gifts], do not take [back] from it anything. Would you take it in injustice and manifest sin?
      4-Surah An-Nisa ( The Women ) 112

But whoever earns an offense or a sin and then blames it on an innocent [person] has taken upon himself a slander and manifest sin.
      4-Surah An-Nisa ( The Women ) 155-156

And [We cursed them] for their breaking of the covenant and their disbelief in the signs of Allah and their killing of the prophets without right and their saying, ‘ Our hearts are wrapped’ . Rather, Allah has sealed them because of their disbelief, so they believe not, except for a few.

And [We cursed them] for their disbelief and their saying against Mary a great slander,
      24-Surah An-Noor ( The Light ) 4-5

And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient,

Except for those who repent thereafter and reform, for indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
      24-Surah An-Noor ( The Light ) 15-17

When you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allah, tremendous.

And why, when you heard it, did you not say, ‘ It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted are You, [O Allah]; this is a great slander’ ?

Allah warns you against returning to the likes of this [conduct], ever, if you should be believers.
      24-Surah An-Noor ( The Light ) 23-25

Indeed, those who [falsely] accuse chaste, unaware and believing women are cursed in this world and the Hereafter; and they will have a great punishment

On a Day when their tongues, their hands and their feet will bear witness against them as to what they used to do.

That Day, Allah will pay them in full their deserved recompense, and they will know that it is Allah who is the perfect in justice.
      49-Surah Al-Hujurat ( The Dwellings ) 6

O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.
